I believe in the power of the pen. Though I’m unconvinced that it’s always mightier than the sword, there are times when only a pen can explain why a sword must be used.
This website lets me publish pieces as originally written, without the compression and editing required in other outlets. I hope the articles provoke both thought and action. As a surgeon, I understand that although careful planning is necessary, just thinking about making an incision doesn’t accomplish much in the O.R.
If you believe you can’t have an impact, please consider your own power to effect change with just a pen--or a keyboard. Your words may be the ones that inspire someone else to take action. Thank you for reading. En guard!
